HAFA ADAI Potential Partners!GCC's Math and Education Department will be hosting our Annual Math Fest 2020 on March 20th. The festival includes the International Math Kangaroo Contest and a carnival. It will be an all-day event for 1st-12th grade students both in public and private schools. Over 450 participants are expected! After the contest, students will be participating in the Math Fest (1030-1330) located in the courtyard at the Student Center Building. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Activity BoothsThis festival will be a great opportunity for you to showcase your class or program. This is also another opportunity for service learning. The following are some examples of activities.
1. You can set up a booth and show these visiting students how math is used in different career-related fields. 2. You can do games, demonstrations, hands-on activities, or have a representative available. 3. Provide information for your club or organization through a hands-on activity. Ultimately, you can be creative with the booth as long as it incorporates mathematics. Furthermore, you must submit your booth's proposal to ensure there are no duplicate games/activities. Fundraiser BoothsPlease note that only Guam Community College organizations are allowed to fundraiser at our festival. Be sure to follow all COPSA protocols to participate in our event. Furthermore, we prefer no duplicated food sales (e.g. Org#1 Nachos, Org#2 Pizza).
